For Those Interested

As you all may know, Windows 10 version 1607 build 14393.10 began rolling out on 8/2/16.

Yesterday was Patch Tuesday and there have been Cumulative Updates already.

Windows 10 Pro (on my Inspiron) is now at build 14393.51 and Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview (on my Inspiron) is now at build 14393.67.

 

Build 14393.51 was rolled out on three of my systems today in the patch Tuesday updates. But the 14393.67 is just for users registered as 'Insiders' to test BETA builds, with acknowledged risks.

 

I'm a registered Fast Track Insider. "Regular" Win 10 had just the one cumulative update, Insider had two. I'm checking daily until the 18th when the Enterprise version is supposed to roll out. I run Win 10 Enterprise on two USB drives (one is x86 and the other is x64).

 

Insider builds are Beta though. They are best avoided by users with only one system, and on any system where the work done is important.

 

I have two laptops. The insider build is on a separate partition on my Inspiron. If there are problems with it, I can simply delete the volume in disk management and use the partition for something else.

But, I joined the insider program to see what's new and I'm glad some, if not all, of the new features migrated to the retail builds, like Windows Defender now sitting in the System Tray like MSSE did and they've added Windows to Go to the Control Panel — a feature that was here-to-for only available in the Enterprise edition of Win 10.
