Force 5.1 sorround sound in Vista

Anybody have an idea on how to force 5.1 sorround sound in vista so i can listin to my music in 5.1 i was able to when using my creartive card in XP but in vista i have to use my AudioMax card. Any idea on how to force sound to be heard in 5.1?

Some version Live! cards or externals are supported, but not knowing your exact one here is list ( most likely if you have old Live 5.1 internal card its not going to be supported )

Creatives explanation too support and drivers, which many if not all hardware manufacturers will be following thats doctrine.

have you tried the Realtek HD audio driver for Vista http://www.majorgeeks.com/_Realtek_High_Definition_Audio_for_Vista_d5513.html

Yes and thats what i am currently using, i can get 5.1 but its not the same as it was on my creative card and not all of my games work with the Realtek card unfortunally
