    Can tabs to be transferred from one window of Firefox to another?

    You can rearrange tabs, if you so desire, by dragging them in the tab bar. I do it all the time.

    But, are ye, asking if you can move a tab, from one instance of firefox, to another instance of firefox, yes you can. Just open firefox. Open a few tabs...then, open another instance of firefox. Click and drag a tab, down to the taskbar (over the other instance of firefox) and then you can release it on the tab bar there.

    Just tried it now, it worked. Never tried it in the past. So, I learned something new. Thanks!

    You should also be able to highlight text in one tab, then drag that text to another tab, and paste it into a post. I also do this quite frequently. :)

    I tried dragging a tab to a firebox the button in the taskbar, but a box said that can't be done.

    What is a firebox?
    What version of firefox are ye using?

    I get the same response (from windows - not firefox "You cannot drop an item onto a button on the taskbar)). However, I found that if you were to drag the tab into the address bar when the new instance pops up, it opens the page.

    SLICK!

    btw, this is version 1.5.0.8

    Or drag a tab, to another location on the tab bar. Or a different instance of firefox, on the tab bar. Which is what I mean to say. :) And only the tab bar. :)

    Know of anyway to make the tab bar visible by default? It's hidden on a new instance...

    Now, if you meant, to drag a tab to the windows taskbar, you must first enable links. Then you can drag the tab to the links place.

    @Mada_Milty:

    Click Tools, Options, Tabs (tab), then check the box, "Always show the tab bar". This is in 2.0, I need to check for 1.5.

    There's a tab option in 1.5 called "hide the tab bar when only one web site is open". Try unchecking that.
