Forgetful computer? Corrupt HDD?

Okay, here's the issue. Everything about my computer was working -fine- until I had unplugged it, and moved it across the room. Once I plugged it back in, things started messing up, one after the other. First, my monitor forgets it's a widescreen until I force a custom res of 1440x900, then delete it, and then my monitor remembers that's it's happy res. Second thing is, my computer keeps ignoring my webcam drivers. I'll reinstall them, plug the cam in, everything works great. Yay, problem solved... Until I reboot my computer. Once that happens, I need to reset the res on my monitor, and the webcam drivers are messed up again... Here are my specs:

2.41 ghz, 3.00 GB ram (though windows only shows it as 2)
Geforce 6600 PCIe 512 mb

Computer is fairly new, just got it the beginning of this year, these problems only started happening after I unplugged my computer... No software or hardware changes occured between then and now to cause these issues... It just stopped working. Is there any way to fix this permanently without having to reinstall the drivers or set the resolution every time? If not, I'm about ready to reformat and start fresh.

 

Try uninstalling the video drivers completely, reboot, and reload the newest NVidia drivers available. You can also try reloading the chipset drivers for your motherboard to fix the USB problem. Lastly, maybe a system restore to a date right before you moved the PC will help.
