Forgotten Password Local Account

Hi,
My friend bought a computer from auction a couple of years ago, it was running Windows 7 and he never needed a password when booting.
About 6 weeks ago his computer updated to Windows 10 and now asks for a password at login, he doesn't know it nor understand the "Hint".

I tried following a workaround online which hasn't worked and did the following but not sure how to reverse:
"
move d:\windows\system32\utilman.exe d:\windows\system32\utilman.exe.bak

copy d:\windows\system32\cmd.exe d:\windows\system32\utilman.exe"

Any help much appreciated

Hi

Dont know if you fixed this but try the following as you originally backed up utilman.exe

then in elevated CMD prompt and in your C: drive then type ren utilman.exe.bak utilman.exe

So in CMD
C: [enter]
cd windows\system32 [enter]
ren utilman.exe.bak utilman.exe [enter]
