forgotten password on slave

I need help, ive got an old PC That i forgot my password to, and i have a LOAD of pix; also i dont have a computer that i can stick it to. the computer i have now has diff MB than the other.
I have a load of pictures and such i want off of it, as well as some bought programs. I've set it as a slave, and it keeps telling me protected drive. Anything i can do out there? Any info would be great, the computer stores around here want an outrageous price, and ive been ripped off already by all of them. Please help!

what do you mean exactly, the new mb dosent support that style hard drive???:confused

 

Does the old computer no longer work? What os is running on it and have you tried loggin on as administrator in safe mode and removing the password?

 

The computer / mb died.. it was a Compaq 5300US with a TR100 board, comparing to a intel ASUS board and it said it was similar, a socket 370, but when i plug the HD into it and turn it on can get into the bios and set stuff, after that blank screen.
Because its not the same MB i figure the drivers and that arent compatible, so it wont boot up. HD is fine, western digital.
OS is windows XP Home, and no, cant boot into windows to try that.
set the HD as a slave on My pc, and got all but the main account folders, when accessing thetm it says denied. cant afford to buy a new MB yea its cheap only 75$ but thats 75 more than i have to spend >.< tried a Picture / program recovery but im not sure if its actually grabbing ALL Pictures / programs off the drive or just the ones that were deleted
