FORGOTTEN PASSWORD !!!!!!!!!! Windows xp home

How can i log onto windows if i've forgotten my password.I am running windows xp home.I've after trying to boot up in safe mode and that doesn't work.i also tried reinstalling the operating system can't get that to work either.The computer has alot of spyware and several trojans and virus's on it.Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

There is no need to DOUBLE-POST, it just puts people off.

Did you ever set a password?

Are you the Administrator?

Have you tried hitting Enter or clicking Cancel?

 

Sorry about the double post, it wont happen again. tried hitting enter loading personal settings appears for a split second then the computer logs back off right away. Cannot click cancel it is not highlighted.

 

im pretty sure if you press f8 at beginning of the boot and select repair, you can get in that way. you will however need your XP cd key.

 

This sounds like the Sasser worm or one of it's variants.

Can you start it in Safe Mode and do you have the XP CD?

er, um, that's one of the many methods using "backdoor" access and in my opinion is inappropriate to be posting here.

It basically shows how to hack into a password protected account which may or may not be his or anyone else reading this!

However, he says that after he hits enter it states that it's loading personal settings and then logs off again, which is why I suggested the worm.

If he had created a password prior and done that it wouldn't say that, or just say incorrect password.

Whatever it is no one can say without certainty until he posts back with some more info.

 

Just wanted to help, besides you need the key and disk for that method . If he has it, chances are its legit.

However, your guess is is probably acurate. i have a question as well for my friends pc. I'll make a new post.
