can any1 help i forgot my windows password n cant log on my laptop:cry

. Hello (I know that I am going to get a telling off for this). There are ways but the stock answer is take the laptop to the origanal dealer with the receipt and they will reset the password for you. No one on this site will (Or should) tell you how!

If it is your Windows user password rather than a laptop password try logging on in Safe Mode (F8, immediately and repeatedly, at startup until you see the list of options) and check if their is an Administrator account option to log in to. It may not have a password set.

 

Trinity Rescue Kit does a good job of resetting a Windows Admin Password in XP,Vista, and Windows 7.

Technically sdbett is correct. We cannot know that this is YOUR laptop. This is the second time the lady has forgotten her password, and her only two posts are in that regard. That being said, Sach does have the simplest solution. Anyone who does read this, ALWAYS create a "Safe Mode" password, for the "back door" (Administrator Account). Keep it written somewhere safe, where you will remember to find it.
