format problems

hi

ime trying to format my pc got as far as puting in the floppy then i get this message

the following file is missing command.com

anyone know whats going wrong harddrive bootdisk?

if its the bootdisk is there a place i can download a new M.E bootdisk?

Save the file and run the program, it will prompt for you to insert a floppy to which it will write the startup files.

 

You are trying to boot to dos by way of the floppy disc drive. One of the files required for dos command.com, is not on the floppy disc so dos cannot load.

I am not familiar with ME but in 98SE you can get a 'start up' disc by going

start>control panel>add/remove and select the start up tab then click on 'create disc'
