    I am about to format my computer please can someone help.

    step by step Instuctions would be nice as it is the first time.

    I have xp pro.

    just make sure you back up data that you need. I can't stress this enough as a format will delete EVERYTHING.

    ok. i went into bios and made cdrom ist boot device.

    when do i put the disk in to format.

    put the cd in the cd-rom drive and reboot PC.. it will then search the drive for the bootable media, which is the CD in this case.
