I have a dell laptop Inspiron 1500 (xp) that needs to be formated. I do not a the start up disk for this system. I do have a xp drivers and utilites cd for Inspiron 1520 can I use this to reinstall my system. I also have a Reinstallation cd for window xp home edition service pack 2. Which do i use? By the way, I also had some trouble with a Vista laptop and Dell support linked in to my PC and downloaded all the XP drivers in order for me to switch from a Vista to XP on a different laptop. So I have a lot of drivers but not sure what to use.

The list of drivers that i have from dell are
    audio driver.exe
    broadcom.EXE
    chipset driver.EXE
    modem.EXE
    ricoh driver.EXE
    video.exe
    wireless.exe

Is there an order I need to follow when using these to reinstall

Thanks for any help you can give

You'll need to use the drivers for your exact hardware of your notebook, also the correct ones for what ever flavor OS you install

Install OS first then update drivers and MS updates
