When I boot up I have to select my OS from two entries of XP Home instead of it booting normally. Why would I have to do this if I've completely formatted and re-installed a fresh copy? I haven't selected the second one yet. Any suggestions?

Did you completely wipe the drive and format the whole drive, or just a partition on it?

That could be the old OS so check it's not still there by going to My Computer and looking at which disk drives are there.

You can remove the second option by doing Start > Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Settings under Startup & Recovery > Edit > Delete the second line of text that starts "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition..."

This will remove the choice at startup :)

Ok, that fixed the Boot-up OS selection problem. Next one: I have two HD's, I use one for all my important programs C:, the other for games. Problem is that this HD now has no drive letter, it shows up in device manager, but not in windows explorer. I've uninstalled it from device manager and let windows auto-detect and re-install but it still has no drive letter. Any suggestions?

Go to Disk Management (Control Panel > Admin tools > Computer management) and see if it appears there.
