I have a Transcend 64gb flash card I intend to use with a camcorder. I don't know for sure, but I think this card is FAT formatted. If that is true, is it best to leave the card as is, or can/should the card be NTFS formatted?
I'm a novice, so I hope this question is not too absurd!

To be on the safe side, I'd format the card inside the camcorder from the on screen-menu. That way you're sure it's the correct format for that model camcorder.

The camcorder should notify you if the SD card needs to be formatted and format the SD card for you. Do not format to NTFS. If you cannot format in the camcorder use this utility. It is a utility designed especially for SD cards.
