I'm trying to reformat my D(57gigs) drive partition and not harm my C(19gigs) drive, but everytime i use a awin98 start up floppy to get to some command prompts I try to put in Format D: but it says "Format not supported by D:, Format Terminated" but C drive can be formatted. I can't get to my Bios settings to have my cd rom to be first to boot but i went to set up and changed boot order but still cd rom wont boot first it will just pass on to the A drive. SO now I'm getting desperate and frustrated I asked some people not on here but friends they said not to format cuz it will kill my computer but theres a grip of adware things on here from trying to download a Keygen activator thing for PhotoshopCs2. if someone can help me get my D partition formatted I'd be grateful and on top of that from getting a blaster type virus or something from downloading mmorpgs my computer's internet went out so i did a system restore many times and it would freeze and not do anything so i would stop them and restart the computer and do it over. I had about 47-50 gigs now im reduced to 7 gigs of space and its a 80 gig hard drive so i dunno if space is stored or not or something is killing my space. . is there a way that i can increase the size and get rid of whatever took up the space if so that would help me out instead of having to reformat my drive.

What os are you using ....are you sure you have cleaned out everything (virus/spyware wise)?
Do you just want to wipe the d drive?

You can reformat the d drive in disc management ...(Control panel/admin tools/disk management ....right click on the drive and choose format ...) But I would suggest that you go to this thread first....
