I just installed a 200GB hard drive into a windows 2K pro system and went through the wizard to set it up as a dynamic disk and it only appears to see 128GB's. Is there a size limit in 2K?

Is there a way to divide the disk into two 100GB partitions so I can get full use of the drive?

    Thanks

You need to install the latest service pack to enable large hard disk support. (greater than SP2)

    HERE is some more information.

There are several ways around this limitation though.

If you have an ATA133 controller chip or card then they don't suffer from this limitation.

If you have an early model Intel Chipset then installing the Intel Application Accelerator will remove this limitation.

Or you can partition your drive into smaller sections, as long as the partitions are not greater than 137 GB.
