I think i know what his problem is. Sorry if this sound stupied, but alot of people who dont know alot about computers try to format there harddrives within windows, just like formating the floppy disks.

Anyways, If that is not the case, then do you have a windows xp cd? if so, reboot your system with the cd in your drive & it should boot from the cd, keep an eye on it as u will need to press a key to boot from cd or it will load windows. Proceed to install windows as normal & it till ask you to format quick or normal. Normal is recomended when changing from a different windows.

If you have tried this then i would recomend doing the old windows 98 format with a windows 98 boot floppy. You can obtain the download of the files you should place on a floppy at http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

Ether download the windows 98 OEM or windows 98 SE OEM, unzip the files, stick em on a floppy & then boot your windows as normal. Whilst booting, it will load from your floppy & then after a minute you will come to a blank screen with some writing at the top & at the bottom you will see something like this.

    A:/
Well type in after / Format c: then you should be promted that all date will be deleted, are you sure you wish to continue. Well, you want to so type y for yes.

when completed you should finnish with A:/ again, if not and its C:/ just type A:/ and it will change back. then type Format D: to do the same with your other hard drive. then reboot & you will then need to install your window/s as required.

Personaly, i only like using one type of windows, multiple windows messes things up.

    Hope this info helps..
