    NTFS.
I think that FAT is just a resotre app.

Definately NTFS. Unless for some reason you are installing Win 98 or ME.

Many differences, most notably the block sizes are smaller which makes it much more efficient.

ok, i want to get rid of a partition, but whenever i've gone to the bit of xp setup where you choose where you want to install and partitions etc, i've decided i only want 1 big partition, so how do i delete the old one?

    i have a 20gb drive and 2 10gb partitions - i want 1 20gb partition!!!!!!

i'll try ntfs next time too!!!!
