I'm Running Windows XP SP1 with a usb printer installed and all the drivers.
Every time I turn on the computer it finds new hardware and wants to intall the drivers. I cancel out of the wizard and everything is fine. My question, is there a way to correct this? Its just bothers me.
    Thanks in advance.

is it a lexmark x whatever

if its a lexmark then no. I tried everything, Lexmark just makes shitty drivers that are not compatable with Win XP....

Have a look in the 'device manager' for exclamations.

I have a sound card & onboard sound that I don't use. Every boot it wanted to load the driver for the onboard sound. I ended up going to the bios & disabling the onboard sound. Problem gone.

Yours might be similar. You could also try in the device manager right clicking the problem (if there is one) & disabling it there. You can always enable it again if needed.
