Foxit Reader Issue

    Hello,

    I downloaded Foxit Reader today. Not sure what happened but it will not open or uninstall. (Funny thing is that I'm not sure why I had to install it. I use it regularly on this PC.) I've tried using PatchmyPC to uninstall and Windows uninstaller. Attached is a screen shot with the error message. Please let me know if there is other info you may need. I would like to uninstall so that I can try again.

    What other Foxit software do you have installed?

    None. There was PhantomFox HP but I uninstalled. I have a license for PhantomFox but on a different PC.

    Thanks. Tried Revo. I get the same error. Also ran CCleaner -not sure if it would do anything, but I ran it. You are right that there was Foxit software installed on 5/18/15 but I uninstalled it yesterday after I started having errors with Foxit Reader.

    Also just noticed that all of my PDF files on this PC are now listed as HTML files. This seems strange.

    Ok. Ran the repair twice. Is there a log you would like me to post? I ran Revo again after completing the repair. I still get the same error.

    I found your problem posted in German. It is caused by Foxit's advertising splash screen at the beginning. (and I think combined with a Win 10 update)

    Here is the English translation of the page where he outlines 3 steps to fix the issue. See if that works.

    If it doesn't, then I might suggest you move to a different pdf program. I've been using Sumatra for years.

    I can't even open it. I get the same error when I try to open it to run it or uninstall.

    I tried running the set up app again and got an error while performing the install. I attached a snip it of the error as a JPG. Maybe this will provide another clue. For now I will take your tip with the Sumatra. Just super annoying that I have this app now that I can't do anything with

    Post a screenshot of the error you get while trying to uninstall Foxit Reader with Revo Uninstaller.
