I have an odd situation. I have Foxit Reader installed on a Windows 7 desktop PC and on a Windows 8 laptop. With Win 7, I can print PDF files directly from a Foxit window or from a browser via the Foxit plug-in. But, with Win 8, attempting to print simply results in a blank page, whether from a web browser or by opening a file in Foxit and then trying to print. In addition to IE, I have Opera installed. I can't print PDFs from either of them. I have no problem printing from other apps with Win 8. I have a Brother printer that is connected to my router and directly accessible from either computer.

I uninstalled Foxit and downloaded the latest version and reinstalled it. That made no difference. I visited Foxit's website and read some FAQ content but did not find any helpful info.

    Any ideas, anyone?

    Try Sumatra http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/sumatra_pdf.html
It can be run from a USB stick so you can test it before you decide if you want to replace Foxit with this on Win 8. Or even while you are working to get Foxit fixed.
Years ago, for some reason I had a problem with Foxit on every computer in the house. It was tax time and I needed to print pdfs. I tried Sumatra and it worked where Foxit did not.
I got extremely good support from the Foxit people (support came through email) and my issue was resolved. So, it might be helpful to contact Foxit support and have them help fix the issue.

Thanks. I'll try both suggestions (Sumatra and contacting Foxit).

I just discovered the cause of the printing issue. When I click the Print icon in Foxit Reader and print settings panel opens, it shows a box titled "Print What:" and the choices are Document, Document and Annotations, and Annotations (only). It was set on Annotations and, since no annotations were in the document, nothing printed. I changed the setting to Document and can print documents now.

Glad you discovered the problem and it was an easy fix.
