fps can get locked at 60????

my games only go to 70 and lower. ive never seen them get past 70. maybe thats my problem. does anybody know how to unlock them???

 

Have you disabled VSync? <- that would limit your framerate at your refresh rate (say, 70, 72Hz). Also, do the games you run have a frame limiter which you could disable? What games are they?

yeah i have an saphfire x850 xt pci express and the game that doesn't go past 70 is counterstrike source

You should be able to disable VSync using that guide
