fps problem.. lag

alright well i read this somewhere and some guy had a good ping but the fps was horrible.. talking about counterstrike here

anyway i went on some maps and my ping was like 70-90 wich is high but... anyway i turned on the net_graph 3 and the fps was 7.0-10 AND I WAS LIKE WTF!!!! (it a surf map) so i go down the first slide and my fps went back to 60 fps. and then i keep going and it back down to 7-11 fps.. And it make the game almost unbarrable this happens on some surf maps and servers.

my fps_max is set to 100

 

my brother was having this problem on custom maps... what kind of framerate are you getting on maps like dust, inferno, etc? if it's normal than you know your problem is related to the map and not your CS settings or hardware

 

It really depends on what is going on your screen. If a lot of action is going on, then your FPS will go down, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. What video card do you have?
