Are you trying to run a program and this error pops up? IF so what software are you starting for this error to appear?

If you get any errors what are they in full?

as multiple applications can use that file, so it may just be a case of reinstalling the software that causes that error.

framedyn pops up when booting computer. Everyone tells me not to worry about this program, yet when going to various programs it comes up.
I have tried to restore computer to an earlier date and cannot, due to the pop-up.
I have tried everything I can think of.

    hello

Hey I fixed mine on my own. Do you have adware? I uninstalleed shockwave and reinstalled.
Let me know if this helps. I also had a adawre program deleted file as well.

I have been in contact with Gateway and they ran me thru several test etc (4 hours worth) and was advised the only way to fix the problem was format the hard drive. I installed the XP Disc and told it to reload XP and it told me my XP was newer than what I have on the disc, so now I have no idea where I stand.

That happens when you are launching XP from the desktop with Service Pack 2 installed. If you want to reinstall Windows XP, you will need to boot from the CD. (F12 for boot menu on most Dells, I think).

So let me get this right! Are we suggesting framedyn.dll is a virus/malware?

You see, every time I turn on my PC I get the following 2 messages:-

rundll32.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

    RUNDLL
    Error loading srclient.dll
The specified module could not be found.

What would be the conventional opinion about what I should do?
Is the status quo (without the files) detrimental to the effective running of my pc?
