Hello- I am seeking a FREE HDD imaging prog. There is one that I read about that was excellent a while back, but I forgot to copy the link to Notepad and save it. Anyway, I want to replace my HDD and shoot an image of the complete drive and install on new HDD. The prog I mentioned earlier was known to image the apps/progs reliably also.
My current set-up is clean and the system files are intact (SFC.EXE-SCANNOW verified). The current drive is a cheap 500GB WD Blue unit and it was installed in an emergency. I have a WD V-Raptor 300GB 6.0 Gb/s new drive sitting here. I think the 6.0Gb/s throughput will work with my old standard SATA mobo.
The system is an old (2006) P4 mATX running XP Pro SP3. I use this machine pretty much for reference and storage purposes.
Can anyone please advise?... Thanks in advance!

Thanks to both of you guys!... Yeah, since I am going from WD drive to WD, I am thinking that is the way to go. I have heard good things about the Macrium, too.
    I appreciate your input- Thanks!
    Peace!
