On today's front page (May 5 2011) we have Free File Wiper. The description and screenshot both appear to make this app a convenient, quick, and easy way to permanently wipe (aka "shred") files or folders. However, it has a rating of only 1.33 - yeah, there's only been 3 votes, but can someone that has actually used this app explain why the rating is so low?

(I started thread a couple of years ago -here- and ended up using this method of file shredding since it works perfect with Win7 X64; to add to that old post, the "-p" variable is the number of overwrite passes, so you can lower this number for speed or make it larger for security; I use 3 for a nice balance of speed & security)

Could be because it isn't ready for prime time yet.
From searching a bit, it appears that v 0.1 was released April 20th or later. As of May 5th, it is up to v 0.3 so I suspect it is a work in progress. Maybe when it goes up to v 1.something, more will try it and give a higher score.

Personally, I'm a creature of habit. As long as my old version of Eraser works for me, I tend to not look at replacements for it.
