We dont post them here as MG runs a couple pops per ip per day. You could try a 3rd party browser that has it built in, MyIE2, Avant, Crazy Browser, Opera, all available from our browser section.

We do ask, if its configurable, to add us to your list of sites to allow popups. You should get no more then 2-3 a day. We dont flood you like most sites, but really rely on the revenue.

    Thanks.

OK - not a problem. This program is configurable to allow/disallow popups based on a user response when the popup occurs.

Yeah, were in a catch 22 here, while we dont follow the many websites who lamely popup ads on you per page over and over, we are forced to look like them. Anyone who has been coming here for a year knows we at one time had 4-5 pops per day, were down to 3. The plan is to phase them out... hopefully...

P.S Message board is pop free, only one banner.

    AVANT

I use avant browser (which you can get for completely free from this great website) I have never had any sort of pop up add get through while useing it. it even has a cool little thing in the lower right corner to show you how many it has blocked.
the gue is set up about the same as Microsoft I.E. with a few more option. it is by far the best browser i have used and as i said blocks all pop ups. the only catch is when you start up program a window appears asking you to donate to avant (it's free) however you can check an option that makes this never come up.

anouther good way to cut back on pop ups is use ad-aware and get rid of all cookies.

hope this is more help than anything anyone else has said,

Alright, thanks for the help! Sorry I did not mean to start anything, I will allow MG pops and the question was directed to random pop ups that appear. Nothing has to MG.

Sorry I did not mean to offend you Thunder and yes I am here to help.

I might get my hand slapped for this one - and might even get my post deleted, but I thought the original post was one worth responding to.

As far as a "pop up blocker" .... Major Geeks is the first to post the programs that stop that kind of thing. What comes to mind is the Ad Aware program.

welllllllllllllllll....................... you guys offer it, why not flaunt it?

Might be some confusion I can clear up for you. Ad-Aware will stop and delete spyware, including spyware that runs random popups. Mainly popup blockers are to stop popup or under ads delivered from websites you view, which is what this post was originally about, we have simply wandered a bit :) We dont spam you with popups ads, but do deliver 2 or 3 per day, per person. We could make a lot more money by hitting people with more, but, unlike many websites, find that lame. This is why we dont offer popup blockers here, yet understand peoples frustration with them.

Hope that clarifies for you what he was after and why we feel the way we do :)

Yeah, they only run as few pop-ups on you as you can, actually I wouldn't mind having 10-50 pop-ups a day on _my_ IP :)

I've been using a configurable popup blocker by the name of Popup Manager recommended by "Woody's Watch" a couple of weeks ago. Popup Manager can be configured to "Allow Popups" from MajorGeeks. Works with IE 5 & 6 on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2K/XP.

    :)Cheers:)
