Free simple to use DVD burner and Coder?

Hello am new today, so much to learn about computers, anyone know a good free coder plus burner, or even how to lock your home page to google as mine keeps being changed. Also learn somethinf new today. I downloaded a free burner and it completely lost all my destop icons, having right clicked on screen I discovered it had unticked view my desktop icons. gggrrr, thank god for you guys helping us all out when we dont know what to do, also is there a yahoo group available please for this group?

You say your home page keeps getting changed. And something happened to your desktop after a download. This can be a sign of a malware infection. I would go to:
