Freeze frame

Hi MajorGeeks,

A few days back my frame started to freeze when I tried to watch a video clip with Media Player Classic. Now I´ve noticed that it isn´t just that specific program. Programs such as iTunes and VLC Media Player also makes the fram freeze when I try to use them.

Please help me figure out how to stop this.

Is it happening with any clip or a certain clip you are trying to play

 

It is not a certain clip. It also happens when I just launch iTunes.

My PC is getting worse by the day. I have a ton of malware and spyware on it, which can't be removed with my spyware program, PC Tools Spyware Doctor.
The freeze frame started when I updated my firewall, PC Tools Firewall Plus. When I start the following programs it goes into a freeze mode: iTunes, Media Player Classic and VLC Media Player.
My PC is making a lot of sounds ever since it started to have the "freeze-episodes", I believe it's overheating.
I think that the best solution is to format my PC. That would remove all my Malware and spyware, right? And its been long overdue. The problem is that the disc that re-installs Windows has an encryption which the computer-repair-idiot managed to encrypt and forgot to tell us the key. It's all a big mess.
In conclusion, if re-installing Windows is the right way to go, could you help me do that?

I would go here first and use the experts to try and get rid of the malware and spyware.

 

Hi,

I have no cleaned my computer of all malware and such. These problems with freeze frames still persist everu time I launch the afformentioned programs. Also, my computer still runs on a high rate, it makes a lot of sounds that is.

What do you think I should do and why are these problems occuring?

Hi,

I have uninstalled PC Tools and installed SUPERAntispyware instead. It found 7 infections which it later on removed.
My PC still gives me the afformentioned issues.

If you are still getting infection notices maybe you should go through the whole read and run me first.

I have already done it countless times, I know it by heart now. They never find any infections, the programs nor the admins in Malware.

you've said you run it before and it never finds anything, then when you run super anti spyware you find more. Then you do have something in your system whether that's whats causing the problem I have no idea. I do suggest you follow the link I gave you to the letter and after you run it and post all the logs ask someone in that forum for assistance.
