Frezzing up while downloading cleaners??

I've been trying to download a registry cleaner but everytime I get to download point my computer starts frezzing up.. I ran Registry Mechanic this morning and got some problems fixed, also I have ran Hijack This but was alittle weary about trying to fix anything through that program.. Been noticing a lot of open ports, but not sure if that could be the problem.. Any idea of what could be going on?

 

where are you trying to download it from? Does it do this even on different sites or just that one? Are you using like a torrent download service or is it just a straight download? Try downloading THIS and see if it works.

 

I was able to scan with this program.. Picked up 112 Infections with it.. Also used AMust Registry Cleaner found and fixed 796 problems... So maybe this worked... Thank you much...
