A friend of mine has a 340 Duster i would like to get my hands on it has a lot of rust at the back window and needs a fuel tank but thats it and it runs like a dream. He use to also have a Duster with the slanted 6 now that looked good it was white with the blue racing stripe.

 

Boy those photos sure remind of a friend of mine here on the West Coast augiedoggie, I'll have to Email him and see if he can send me some photos of his cars, same workmanship as yours. The Duster he did for his wife is painted "Pink", but even though thats not my choice in colour, it does look cool. Part of me wish's I had the time to do the same, but alas there is always something else to do. Neat Photo's augiedoggie

He's gone for the weekend, I'll post the info when I get it as he's already told me but this stuff goes in one ear and out the other. (I only understand GHz and megabytes LOL) All I can say now is that he's put oversized pistons in and this time he adjusted the spark gap clearance, not sure. Hehe, when he was dragging, I'd hear the car idling and I'm over a km away from him. Of course we're rural as you can see from the pics. Oh, it's also normally aspirated, no blowers in there, no room in there!

 

OMG I was gonna ask for some pics of his ignition loom,he's running points?I thought everyone ran capacitor discharge systems these days only cost the same as one of those high lift cams

 

A really tight fit.:eek Took him 6 hours to do the deed in total, hehe he's pulled that engine out so many times he must have it down pat by now.LOL

What is what looks like a motor or generator on the right side Augie, I can see an alternator on the left????
