Today whilst gallivanting across yonder internets I accidentally knocked my power strip off the back of my pc desk, and watched in horror as it landed on the power switch, shutting everything off. Upon a reboot my pc would enlist one short beep (this was normal and happened on every startup since I built the machine) and after about a 10 second pause, enlist another 4 beeps and refuse to actually boot. The fans/hd/everything was visibly running but I could get no signal from my monitor (stayed black, until entering sleep mode). I searched high and low for the beep codes (bloody manual doesnt have them them) and only found a site with some minor references to what might be happening. 4 was supposed to represent a system timer failure. I ended up switching off the power supply for 15 seconds, and reseating the CMOS battery in hopes it would default some things. Now when I boot everything comes on as normal, and there are no beeps whatsoever, but alas alack, I am yet to get a signal to my monitor.

Does anyone know what could have happened or what to try/give my info on?
I'm hoping my mb is still under warranty just in case.

For those of you wondering I have the following:
    Asus P5N-3 SLI
    Intel Q66700
    MSI Zilet 8800GT
    2 gb of Kingston Ram
some other small doodads and a 600 W ps.

I have now messed with/tinkered the machine either internally, or otherwise recently, and this problem has only occurred after the accidental shut off due to falling power strip. Thanks in advance to anyone with advice.

I just checked and I have a 3 year warranty with about 2 years left on the MB, which is what I assume the problem is.

Also, I'll be working out of town for the next couple days, and as such unable to check the board and respond. Fear not! I have not posted a blind question. I'll be eager to come back and check on your responses in hopes of figuring my machine out a little better. Thanks again!

    Bumpdate:

it now beeps once as per usual, but still does not output any signal to my monitor. I have done nothing to cause this change (from none to one) as I was out of town for a couple days. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be happening?
