    I've been trying to update my Win 10 Enterprise editions to build 14393.10 since 8/2 when it was released.

    Today I found a site that linked to an ISO download page. That page was in Russian except for the titles of the ISOs.

    I was running Win 10 Enterprise x86 from my USB connected hard drive. I downloaded the x86 and x64 ISOs to that USB connected drive.

    I, then, transferred those ISOs to my Win 8.1 Core partition on my internal drive so I could use WintoUSB 2.4 to install the new Win 10 to my USB drives.

    I restarted my computer to boot into Win 8.1 Core so I could begin the task. Upon getting to the desktop, I got a message about Bit Meter being denied access to one of it's files. Many of my Desktop icons had become generic and I couldn't launch Windows Update from it's (generic) Desktop icon. I restarted the computer again and this time Access Center came up with a message about disk error(s). I allowed the Scan and Repair. On the next restart, I got a message that access to the Desktop was denied.

    Be warned!!

    I have to reconstruct my Win 8.1 partition from scratch.

    @DavidGP,

    The OS (plus Updates) and Programs I had installed are gone but, all my data files are on an external drive.

    @TimW,

    I, in fact, used the link from MG's to update my other laptop. But, the link gets you Core/Pro not Enterprise.

    I was just reading today that Win 10 Enterprise edition will be via subscription and there will be E3 and E5 versions with E5 versions of Windows Defender being Cloud based and actively protecting against attacks. I read one price listed as $84/year but later on in the article, it said MS hasn't decided on a price yet.

    I wanted Enterprise editions because I already have a VLK and don't have to re-enter a Key when I switch the USB drives between my two laptops. Win 10 remains activated on both.
