Frustrating Firefox Problem???

Guys and girls I have a very annoying problem with Firefox that I very much hope you can help with. I installed and ran firefox with no problems for about six weeks then one day my mouse scroll wheel stopped working when browsing (but still worked if I fired up IE)??? I have tried all the settings options in Firefox and in windows, I have uninstalled and re-installed the mouse driver too but still no joy.
Does anyone have any ideas please??

I love Firefox but without the mouse scroll it takes away from my browsing abilities.

I'm running the latest version of Firefox on XP Pro.

Open Firefox

On the Menu Bar click on Tools and then select Options.

Click on the Advanced button, Under Browsing make sure that the first 2 are checked.

• Resize large images to fit in the browser window
  
• Use autoscrolling

HOORAY for finding the fix!!!

Went into properties (in firefox from the desktop icon) and ander the advanced tab changed run in mode from win 95 to win 2000...why it was set that way I have no idea??

Anyway....it worked!!
