FSC Nvidia Drivers Wont Install. Please Help :)

I've just bought a Xi 2428. I saw the Nvidia driver was one year old soo i tried to update using the "miraculous" tool of DesktopUpdate.. needless to say it didnt work.
So i downloaded the drivers from the Nvidia website, for the 8XXX Series (Xi has 8600 GS as you all know) and tried to install it , but it says it cannot find any hardware to support the drivers in the update .. tried both Vista 64 and 32Bit ( my original OS was Vista32).. Soo installed Vista64(because of a few things that just get !@#$ed up during initial work on my 2428 as well), and i Tried to Update again with the actual Nvidia vista64 Driver, and again the same messege that it cannot find the hardware on my laptop ..
furthermore i was dissappointed with the desktupupdate Util who wasnt able to update any drivers from the FSC website , even though its a fresh install ( correct me if im worng , but that was purpose of this tool , wasnt it ? ). Now im pretty much stuck downloading all the drivers manually, Hoping they will install on my Vista64..
If anyone has a solution or a previous post indicator for the GPU drivers from Nvidia please be kind enough to share it with me. Google has gotten me nowhere ..
