Found prorat...oh joy! win2000 Followed Symantec removal (http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.prorat.html)

but only found fservice in register and deleted it, as per above. Only AV able to run was escan but it enabled me to remove then reinstall Norton and ZoneAlarm.

Problem: On start up, windows always states can not find the Fservice.exe I removed per above...again.

How do I get this *&^% thing to stop searching for Fservice?

    TYIA

Run Nortons from safe mode. There is probably a dll, seperate executable and\or a registry entry starting it up that can not be deleted in normal mode. Let me know.

Thank you sir, mission accomplished. You were correct, safe mode rooted it out.
