  1. Not sure if this is the right forum but if not let me know. I want to use a ftp program to send stuff to some of my friends and back to me but not sure how it works..any of us lol. I know you have to have the ip addresses of each person, but how do you set it up? I know what mine is but the computer that has all my "stuff" on it is on a wireless network in my home and how would i go about sending stuff that way? or is it even possiable?

If you are going to be serving the files you obviously need the software. An FTP server loaded.
Next you would have to set up port fwd'ing on your router. Ports 21 AND 20!!
You will fwd all requests to port 20~21 from any IP to internal IP and port 20~21. The internal IP is the machine running the FTP server just waiting on a request to show someone the shared folders. Your clients would not need to do anything except give you their IP if you wanted to create an access list.
