FTP Access Using WinXP

Good Day All - I've created an FTP Site to be accessed remotely. I connect to the FTP site from a WinXP(Home) PC and all is well. I connect, I can download/upload...works great.
The Problem -->> When I connect with another WinXP(Pro) PC, the connection times out. I'm connecting from the same locale as above, usig the same App and the same address. Side-by-side, one XP PC works great, the other won't connect! I'm baffled.

M'Geeks can you help?

Are you using an FTP client or just a web browser?
If it's a web browser, have your tried ftp://[I]yourFTPserversIP[/I] ?
Do you have a firewall? If so is port 20 or 21 blocked? Try using the site w/ firewall disabled.

 

Problem solved...

I turned off "Passive FTP" and was able to connect w/no problems.
