FTP Problems

Hi guys and girls,

I am trying to use a file transfer protocol for a site. It lets me log in and actully switch directories, but as soon as I try to view what is in a directory (Dir) it times out. It did this before but then fixed itself . Now it is doing it again and I don't know why. I have pinged the site and it seems fine, I not real smart on this stuff, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't proclaim to be smart about this either, but are you using IE for FTP?

If thats a yes, that could be where the problem stems from. I have/had a lot of issues using IE as a ftp application as well.

 

Thanks but I am using the command prompt not IE, whatever that is. I think you are reffering to Internet Explorer and I am not using that. Any way I have no idea what to do and the only way to upload files is thru a FTP. I am stuck.
