FTP upload speed

I built an FTP box running windows server 2003 running winftp
1.6 dual core processor
1.5 GB ddr 667 memory

I have comcast cable internet 3GB download speed my upload speed is a dreadful 300Kb

what do I need to do to get a better upload speed. Is it just a matter of contacting my cable company? What additional fees can I expect or is there something else I can do tweak my router etc. Any help would be wonderful.

Upload is provisioned by your isp, as is down speed. Yes the only way is to contact them.

have any idea how much of an improvement they can give me and what the cost would be. I do not want to fall on the floor while I am on the phone with them. I like to be prepared haha. thanks

 

Check their website, if you can. Probably the only place to gather good info.
