Is there a program that prevents other programs and pretty much anything that doesn't require my immediate attention. I was forced to uninstall driver booster cuz it interupted skyrim on a startup halfway through doing something ingame and because skyrim is one of those games that cannot handle being minimized. Plus it opened my browser without asking causing me to lose the previous session i was gonna restore.

i'm getting tired of various programs interupting my fullscren games, especially when I'm starting up the computer, they are incessant. Now these interuptions don't happen often, but I don't wanna end up having to redo 3 hours worth of gametime just cuz some program interupted me out of the blue.

Is there a program that prevents a fullscreen program from minimizing or otherwise doing anyhing due to another program interupting it?

You could try JetBoost. It should give you the ability to turn off programs before you start a game and then restart them when you are done.

The only problem would be if the program is not running when you start the JetBoost session. It only turns things off the one time. Also, there wouldn't be anything to prevent a program/process from restarting. On the plus side, when you finish a session of JetBoost, all you have to do is press a button on the system tray dialog to restart everything you have stopped.

You might want to try the Process Lasso bulletin board. It's a great program with numerous features for gamers. I know you can disallow processes with it, and you can build game profiles with it too. Not sure you can disallow in a gaming profile, but I think you could get what you want from JetBoost and Process Lasso.

Both are very light on resources, and JetBoost more than makes up for both running by turning things off that you don't need for your fullscreen programs...

I was more hoping that certain programs would force other programs to not create windows. Sometimes when I start up the computer command prompt window pops up for a split second, long enough to interupt the fullscreen but not long enough to see why. Is there a program that can get other programs like command prompt to run in the background and not create wondows that otherwise do not require my attention now or ever. I'm sure the command prompt window did something importantant and would not want to interupt it, but i really wish it would work more in the background you know. Most times I just want stuff like the notifications you may get from various would shut the heck up while playing a game. It sometimes causes the interference, more often than any other stuff. Sometimes it's an error and sometimes it's an update, but regardless of the reason why it still interupt the game.

I honestly don't mind the interuptions themselves, but when I'm playing skyrim, well that's a diferent story. The game can't handle not being fullscreen. Bethesda really messed up there, cuz it's more like a console game on a computer, rather than a legit computer game.
