funny occurance with XP and virtual box

I am running Win7 and I like using musicmatch jukebox. Only problem is, it wont work in win7, no matter what i do with compatibility mode. No problem, I have Virtual box and xp going just fine, and music match is working like it's supposed to. I like using mmjb for it's ease of tagging/renaming mp3's. I have the mp3's on the hard drive in win 7 and through home networking/sharing, they are loaded into musicmatch in xp/vbox. While renaming a group of files at one time, i noticed that one disappeared. So to make sure i'm not going crazy (I'm still not sure, but that's another thing altogether :-D ) I opened the folder to watch as it was being renamed. Seems the way it works, the file disappears for a quick second and reappears with the new name. Only problem is, once in a random while, one doesn't come back. Not so much a question here, just a thought. This seem to be one of the many dumb occurances of xp and home networking? needless to say I won't be doing it this way anymore. (btw, mmjb is old and no longer around, but i've still not found a good replacement for managing my library)
