me: i know that! i have pressed it. it doesnt work.
tech: did you hold it in?
me: hold it in to what?
tech:........(muffled sounds of hysterier)..no. i mean when you press the button, keep your finger on it untill the light goes out.

I feel sorry for the people at Dell. I have the intern job of "requesting warranty service for malfunctioning devices". I have probably already made such a list somewhere.
