Hey guys im building a new computer for gaming, and I was wondering which is better, AMD FX57 or X2 4800+?

I know normally more GHz is better, but this is single vs dual, can anyone reccommend the best one for gaming?

Thats a tough one. If the PC is just gonna be used for gaming then i probley would go with the FX57. But some would also say 2 cores is better than one!

Note, the CPU in my Sig, price was $164 shipped, also note the speed, 2760MHz By the way it does go faster, I crank it up to 3GHz every now & then

 

Allright, by what im reading... i think i'll stick with the single-core FX57
