The following was a discovery for me and might help other. It was critical I get an older program running in Win7, and it wouldn't. Thanks to an article, I learned of a new Microsoft utility that runs in the drop down menu when a program icon is clicked... "Troubleshoot compatibility".

Options are allowing it to find a solution or to trouble shoot. TS's options provide for XP, Vista, Vista SP1 or 2, and Win7. Vista SP2 solved my problem.

    Cool.

    Hi

Yes its a great addition in Windows 7 to troubleshoot compatability with older applciations, works for many applications but not all.

    Cheers for posting your sucess.

I about 5 days into using windows 7, am actually really happy with it. Was on XP home service pack 3, a few things are in new locations, menus look different but I was able to get used to the new stuff really quickly.
