Wazzzup...hey, we got your message; didn't want you to think we'd forgotten about you. It's been a bit of a busy week, what with another launch coming up and the trials and tribulations (loose antenna anyone? ) and Abby showing off over at the Mayo Clinic. As I'm sure you know, I usually leave work to take her to all her RX appointments, but due to the workload I've not been able to get away and she's taking cabs to and from.

We have only daytime Saturday beach plans so if you are going to be around Saturday evening, we oughta chat.

 

And who was it just the other day grousing at LLC about leaving her phone turned off?

No problem Chris. I know you guys stay busy at the best of times, and weekends are about the only time you can do things together.

AFAIK, I should be home Saturday evening. Worst case, I may be over at my neighbors for dinner (they invite me fairly frequently, God love 'em), and if so, I'll take my cordless phone over with me; I think the signal will reach that far. Any certain time you have in mind? If so I'll try to be here for that.

When's the next launch date? And how far does Abby have to go to Mayo? Long expensive cab ride or fairly short one? Either way, I'm SO glad she managed to get hooked up with them. Still waiting to see what you drop on the quack that has been mis-treating her for so long.

 

Could we get live televised coverage on that...I'm sure there would be millions that would love to see a quack doctor have something to come back and bite him on the a$$!!!! Including myself!!!!

A little over 4 miles..it runs between $8 - $10.00 (one way) depending on which bldg. I'm going to. I'm taking a cab again today (4th time), again tomorrow and Monday all the way down to the Joe Adams Bldg. at the St. Luke's Hospital Campus. Fortunately that appt. is late in the day so Chris will be able to pick me up after work..it will be about 14 to 15 miles so I think it will be an expensive ride.

Me too...and thanks! I already feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. Every Dr. I have been to there goes through my entire file with me just like the first one did and every Dr has spent no less than 45 minutes with me.

We're still planning our strategy and waiting on test results from Mayo. I should have the bulk of them back 9/7. Lets just say that they are appalled at how I have been treated the past 4 years and the fact that I had major surgery and I shouldn't have. They should have explored other reasons for the problem I had rather than aSSuming like they did. Added to that, b/c of the surgery I had there are certain medications I should have been put on to compensate for what they removed..I was not...Mayo has put me on them.

 

That is too cool!! I hope you do something to rub it in his face!! So many people feel powerless when it comes to doctors, and I'm sure a lot of them know that or they wouldn't treat people the way they do!!!!

I am so glad to hear that things are already rolling in the right directions!! Hope the glass goes from half empty to half full real soon!!

27 Aug @ 16:30hrs, launch window goes through 7 Sept. Just an FYI, this mission is a full-blown ISS construction mission, the appearance of the station starts to change with this flight.

We are going to a friend's birthday party early Saturday evening, but we should be in around nine or so. I'll send up a Bat-signal and we'll try the land-line when we get home, if that will work for you.

Good to see progress on the ISS. Plans got put on hold way too long.
