   finally i have swallowed my pride with a healthy spoonful of frustration and humbly ask for your hard earned knowledge....really need a major geek!! sitcho.... GA-K8N-SLI gigabyte mother board,amd athlon 64 3200+,GEFORCE 6800 GS NVIDIA graphics card,gameport for ch products gamecard 3,fresh install of xp sp3,left with no sound,no sm bus driver,no pci memory controller,diag.says no sound card found?any one know about this?

   Hi
   
   What you need are some software drivers to allow those devices to work properly and be recognised by Windows. So try the below and see how you get on, plese do follow as written.
   
   Install the Chipset driver HERE and reboot.
   
   Then install the Audio driver HERE and the graphics driver HERE and reboot and see if the devices you mentioned as in audio are working ok, if not please let us know what devices in Device Manager have a yellow ! mark?
