Gah! Back AT School A Week Today :(

Well, it's almost the end of my 6 week summer holiday. This year shouldn't be as bad as the others because I get the subjects I've chosen (Applied ICT, Music & Pruduct Design) I suppose I should really be trying to enjoy the last 2 years I've got left of high school And having 6 lessons of ICT a week might cheer me up If only it was a little harder though

Got a flippin' hospital appointment too that afternoon!

 

Mine go back Tuesday...complete with jetlag!! My eldest starts his first GCSE year this time. He did well last year in his sats so I am a proud and confident Mom

 

Ugh... I go back today to turn in emergency cards etc.. and preview my schedule (which is almost 100% it will change as usual)Goin into 9th grade (first year of high school) and im not looking forward to it... Ill be the drummer for the new jazz combo... although i like rock ... Im taking jewelry..... JEWELRY!!!! Sigh... my buddy was supposed to sign up for it but he got cold feet. I hope hot chicks sign up for it Anywho... my ma works in the middle school office (so no more of her!!! YEA!!!) Sigh... i hate school................................................................................................

Our school used to have a comp club I WOULD HAVE JOINED!! but some jerk hacked into the schools network and changed peoples grades... thus terminating the computer club. I am not looking forward to school....

Our time is 7:30am(duh)-2:33pm(i think, cant remember!) and on mondays our time is 9:00am-2:33pm.... and our minimum days are 7:30 OR 9:00 (depends on if its a monday or not) to 12:16pm (which is still 5 hrs) and i have 6 periods..

 

goin back in a week, goin in to yr9 all the ickle yr7s are comin in, i made a vow with my mates to scare them spitless lol. Dun no haw the schooling system works over in america so i dun no if i can translate yr9 int _ grade, put it this way, i 13 goin on 14 in january.

 

wow! jus realised i doin my sats!!! bugger gotta start revising early so i can relax later on lol.

granted there is some deviation from how old you can be or how old you turn in each of the respective grades, that is the norm...

 

Sats??? They mean nothing, don't revise at all for them!!!
GCSEs, now they're something else...

 

i wud jus sit back an relax but my dad is head of maths at my school an u really think i'm gonna flunk my sats with him breathing down my neck!?

In America you start school at 7?! I started at 3...

No. Children turn 7 in first grade... Before that, you have Pre-School (which is more or less day-care), and then Kindergarden.
