    HI

I echo the above comments and just wish to throw a word of warning out, I don't know what company you work for or if its government, but do read up on any workplace rules regarding internet access and usage.

I do hear your frustration at not being admin of your PC in work, at times I feel the same as I'm not in the IT dept in work so do not have admin access to my PC, however trying to circumvent any security or gain various access rights on your companies network could land you in hot water.

I know that where I work its heavily monitored and has to be, we are told up front that emails are scanned incoming/outgoing for key words, the local and network hard drive storage spaces are scanned routinely for what could be personal files and the internet is restricted to block most social media and specific websites with metatags in their header.

The server and network logs here will tell our IT teams who's accessing what, for how long. All installs are blocked of 3rd party applications, some applications will update via the update servers but end users have no control over that process.

And staff do get sacked all of the time for doing what you mention, one case was of a staff member searching for a specific item online, he was called to the manager to explain his searches to then say it was an accidental typo that resulted in the search, however as the manager put it and showed him the network logs on his searching for porn 500 times over a period.

All I would suggest is you be care full and no-one at Majorgeeks will help you circumvent your corporates network and servers, if you need access and don't already have it already there is a reason or if you feel you should have access to do your job then put in a request to have such access.
