galactic civilization 2 crashes

I played few games of it, in many of them i didn't bother to play and finish those games, but i started one on a gigantic map, with many enemies, and wanted to play this one to the end. i played few hours and the the game crashed. i reloaded it, and after the same amount of turns it crashed again, i tried reloading a few more times but it stilll kept crashing, i was pretty sure its a corrupt save and started a new one(it was different so its not map configuration problems..) i played a few more hours on the new one, and about after the same amount of turns it started crashing again.. please help!!11!!1!1 its so annoying that i cant finish a game!

 

Do you have the latest patch for the games 1.0X ???

 

I will get it soon, even though this bug is not on the change list and not even on the known issues list

 

Got it, it didnt fix it... stupid #^*%&*@$ Patch

what are your computer specs?you could try uninstalling and doing a fresh install of the game.

 

My comp specs are as follows: ATI Radeon X800 GTO, AMD 64 3000+(not overclocked), 1024MB ddr 400, ASUS A8N-E motherboard, this configuration is way better than that needed to play the game.. i played it on max settings untill it crashes, and it worked great. i tried reinstalling, and it didnt work. btw, the game is crashing on a specific turn.

EDIT: I tried the of "galciv2.com" forum long before i tried this one..
