Game backups

I don't know if this would go in games or software but owell...
Well all of my game CDs and DVDs are getting seriously scratched to I decided to back them up. I can backup my CD games like Battlefield 2 with Alcohol 120% and mount it on Alcohol 120%. When I try to copy a DVD game like Battlefield 2142 it makes a .mds file or something like that and when I mount it, it still asks for DVD. I have DVDecrypter and it copied my BF2142 DVD to an .iso and i mounted it and still no luck Is there a program out there that will copy a DVD to .iso and remove the copy protection thing?

Well last time I replied in a matter pertaining to such situations I got called an A-S-S even though I was only upholding a rule.

So, I will only say that, Google works for these things quite well.

Haha. Well i woudn't call u an *** Google has helped a tiny bit but not much.

This is why I buy my games online now. Does not help you here, but it will in the future. I use Direct2drive.com mainly. Anyhow, Google should work, we have some copyright\legal issues here giving you the answer, but I am on your side, people should be able to make copies of a CD\DVD, especially if its the type that cant be run on multiple computers online, like Battlefield. I have all but boycotted all Sony\EA garbage.
